About the chef
Dan Hargreaves - 2021I’m Dan, 34, father of 3, passionate foodie, lover of Scarborough and everything outdoors!! I've spent my career of 18 years working in and running some of Scarborough’s best restaurants and venues. From gastro pubs to farm stays and even Scarborough's own Stephen Joseph Theatre.
Tired of working for other people, I went self employed in 2015 and created Orchard Events. I invested in a wood fired pizza oven to cater for a wedding and it didn't take me long to realise that the oven cooked other foods beautifully! Since 2015 I have attended many events offering what I do best, simple, tasty, locally sourced food cooked in our wood fired oven.
My passion for food started very early in life. I started cooking with a close family friend from the age of nine and knew I wanted to be a chef! My passion for great local produce has grown and grown over the years and I look forward to showcasing what Scarborough and Yorkshire has to offer!
